Profile

Your display name and the sign-in email beside it, the workspaces you belong to with your role in each, and the account facts every account page shares.

Updated October 26, 2026

Profile is the first page of the Account scope. It changes one thing, your display name; it states the email you sign in with; and it lists every workspace you belong to with what your role lets you do there. The facts card beside it, the same card on every account page, says which email signs you in, which second factor protects it, how many workspaces you belong to and since when.

Where it is

Profile is the first row of the rail's Account group, over Security, Billing, Notifications and Support. The header reads Account over Profile, with the line "Your name, your sign-in email, and the workspaces you belong to." The Docs link in the locator row opens this page in its own tab.

Below the header the page is two columns: the Identity and Your workspaces sections on the left, the Your account facts card on the right.

Identity

"How you appear to the people you work with." One card, two rows and a footer.

RowWhat it holds
NameA text field, placeholder "How you'd like to be addressed". Its help reads "Shown in your workspaces and used to greet you. Leave it empty to go by your email address." At most 128 characters; spaces at either end are dropped. Empty is allowed and clears the name.
EmailStated, not editable. Its help reads "Your sign-in identity, so it can’t be changed here — write to support and we’ll move it for you."

The footer notes "Your name is visible to every workspace you belong to." and holds the Save changes button. The button stays disabled until the field differs from the saved name, reads Saving… while it runs, and a check with Saved appears beside it once the change has landed. When a change is refused, the message shows at the top of the card, or "Could not save your profile" when none was given; if the request does not get through, the box reads "Something went wrong. Please try again."

The name is shown in four places. The avatar disc in the top bar, in the account menu and at the head of the Account rail shows the first letter of each space-separated word of the name, uppercased, so "Ada Lovelace" reads AL; with no name it shows the first letter of your email. The account menu and the rail head show the name with the email beneath it, or the email alone. The Members page of every workspace you belong to lists you by name with your email beneath, or by email when the name is empty.

Your workspaces

"Where you belong, and what your role lets you do there." One row per workspace: a square tile with up to two initials of the workspace's name, the name, the sentence for your role, the plan as a badge when it is known, and a chevron. Each row is a link to that workspace's home, which Workspace home describes.

Your roleThe row reads
ownerYou own this workspace, including billing.
adminYou can change this workspace and its sites.
memberYou can view everything, and change nothing.

The three sentences are the ones the Members page uses, where Roles says what each one opens. The badge names the plan the workspace is on, Free, Starter, Solo, Growth, Agency or Enterprise; what each plan opens is on Plans and billing.

The section is absent when the list could not be read. Every account has a personal workspace, named after the full name you registered with ("Ada Lovelace's Workspace") or "My Workspace" when you registered without one.

Your account

The facts card on the right is titled "Your account" and is the same on every account page.

FactWhat it shows
Sign-in emailThe email you sign in with, the same one the Identity card states.
Two-factorAuthenticator app when one is set up on the account; Email code only when the second factor at sign-in is an emailed code. Both are changed on Security.
WorkspacesHow many workspaces you belong to, your personal one included. Shown only when the list could be read.
Member sinceThe day your account was created, as a date in UTC.

What this page does not do

  • It does not change your email. Moving it is done for you, from the Support page in the same rail.
  • It does not hold your password, your second factor or your signed-in devices. Those are the three sections of Security.
  • It takes no picture. The mark beside your name is a disc of initials; there is nothing to upload.
  • It does not leave a workspace, change a role or create one. The rows are links; a role is set on the workspace's Members page.
  • It does not close the account. No control on any account page deletes or disables one.

Questions

Can I change my sign-in email here?
No. The email is your sign-in identity, so the Profile page states it and does not edit it. Write to us from the Support page in the same rail and we move it for you.
What happens if I clear my name?
An empty name saves as no name, and you go by your email address: the avatar disc shows its first letter, the account menu shows the email alone, and the Members page of each workspace lists you by email.
Why is Save changes disabled?
It stays disabled until the field differs from the name already saved. It reads Saving… while the change is saved, and a check with Saved appears beside it once it has.
Why is the Workspaces count missing from the facts card?
The card shows the count only when the workspace list could be read. It never shows zero, because every account has a personal workspace.
What does Email code only mean under Two-factor?
No authenticator app is set up on the account, so the second factor at sign-in is a code emailed to you. The Security page is where you add an authenticator app.
